Statistics: $156.1 Million in Total Car Imports in August 2024<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The monthly report from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics revealed that imports of fully manufactured private cars were among the lowest on Egypt\u2019s import list for August 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

Imports of private cars saw a decline for the third consecutive month, dropping by 28.3% year-on-year after a seven-month growth period that lasted until the end of 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the report, the value of private car imports in August 2024 totaled $156.1 million, compared to $217.6 million in August 2023, marking a decrease of $61.5 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, imports of automobile spare parts increased by 25.4% in August 2024, reaching a value of over $74.4 million, compared to $59.3 million in the same month of 2023, representing an increase of $15.1 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

Imports of goods and transport vehicles also saw a decline of 11.5%, dropping to $15.3 million in August 2024, from $17.3 million in August 2023, a decrease of $2 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

In contrast, imports of external tires and inner tubes for transportation rose by 11.5%, reaching $64.7 million in August 2024, compared to $58 million in the same month of 2023, an increase of $6.7 million.\"total-car-imports-august-2024\n\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The sector for finished tractor imports saw remarkable growth of 37.5% during August 2024. Its value reached $29.7 million, up from $21.6 million in August 2023, marking an increase of $8.1 million and placing it among the top rising commodities for the month.<\/span><\/p>\n

The report also noted a significant decrease in imports of finished buses, microbuses, and minibosses, which totaled $2.4 million in August 2024, compared to $10.4 million in August 2023, a decline of $8 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, the report highlighted that total Egyptian imports rose for the second consecutive month, reaching $8.34 billion in August 2024, compared to $7.75 billion in August 2023, a 7.6% increase.<\/span><\/p>\n
