TVD Launches Locally Assembled GMC Car in Egyptian Market<\/h1>\n

TVD Transportation Distribution Company, the exclusive agent for GMC pickup trucks and Foton commercial vehicles, has unveiled the introduction of locally assembled GMC cars in the Egyptian market.<\/p>\n

Al-Mustafa Abdel Halim, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the company, disclosed that the group has invested over two million dollars in establishing a production line for assembling GMC pickups locally in Egypt.<\/p>\n

Abdel Halim highlighted that the decision for local assembly follows the successful performance of the GMC pickup truck with a 1.5-ton payload in the Egyptian market over the past 5 years. He emphasized that the manufacturing process was executed at the GB Auto group’s factories in Sadat City, aligning with the government’s strategy to promote local industry and increase domestic components.<\/p>\n

He elaborated that the company has a production continuity plan with a capacity of up to 500 GMC pickups per month. Additionally, there are plans to introduce other models, including double-cab pickups, to the market, along with light and medium trucks under the GMC brand.<\/p>\n

He further stated that the locally assembled GMC features advanced Japanese technology, boasting a 2.8-liter four-cylinder Isuzu engine (diesel) with a direct injection system. This engine can deliver a power output of 77 horsepower, with a maximum torque of 172 Newton meters, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, and achieving an average fuel consumption of 7 liters\/100 km.<\/p>\n

The car measures 5012 x 1690 x 1645 mm (length, width, and height), with a wheelbase of 3025 mm and a ground clearance of 185 mm.<\/p>\n

In terms of external specifications, the car is equipped with headlights and sporty wheels. Additionally, the GMC comes with air conditioning, electric windows, and a central touch screen supporting radio, USB, AUX, and Bluetooth.<\/p>\n

He noted that the company relies on a distributor network comprising more than 25 distributors and 8 service centers nationwide. Moreover, there are approved service centers and spare parts distributors across all governorates, with plans to open a new showroom and service center during the current year.<\/p>\n

The GB Auto factory, spanning an area of 130,000 square meters in Sadat City, has an annual production capacity of up to 60,000 cars, with a production rate of 12 units per hour for various models, including passenger cars, light trucks, and minibusses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
