BYD claims a share of 8.8% with sales of 2.3 thousand cars, while Toyota commands a 6.5% share, having sold approximately 1.7 thousand cars.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">\n<h2>Other notable mentions include:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"2\">Kia at sixth place, selling about 1.2 thousand cars and garnering a 4.5% market share.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\">Mitsubishi at seventh, with sales equating to 1.2 thousand cars and a 4.4% market share.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\">MG in eighth, registering sales of roughly 1.1 thousand cars and a market share of 4.3%.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\">Hyundai and Opel rank ninth and tenth, respectively. Hyundai recorded nearly 1,000 sales with a 3.7% market share, while Opel sold 741 cars, holding 2.8% of the market.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\">Final mentions are Citroen, Subaru, and Suzuki. They rank eleventh, twelfth, and thirteenth, with market shares of 2.5%, 2.4%, and 1.9% respectively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unfortunately, despite the success of these brands, the overall car market sales in Egypt dwindled during the first half of 2023. There was a stark reduction of 69.8%, with sales plummeting to 36.8 thousand cars from the 122.3 thousand sold during the same period in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Further insights from AMIC&#8217;s report, acquired by the Auto Club, show a 71% decrease in passenger car sales year on year, totaling 26.8 thousand cars.
