Nissan Dominates Car Sales in the First Half of 2023″<\/h1>\n

Japanese automaker Nissan has led the local car sales market during the first half of the year, securing a market share of approximately 24.5%. This equates to the sale of 6.5 thousand vehicles, a notable increase compared to the same period last year.<\/p>\n

“Chery-Gabbour” secured second place with a 15.7% market share and 4.2 thousand cars sold. “Renault” came in third with a market share of 11.2% and 3 thousand cars sold.<\/p>\n

Fourth place was claimed by “BYD”, holding about 8.8% of the market with sales of 2.3 thousand vehicles. “Toyota” followed in fifth place with a 6.5% market share, selling around 1.7 thousand cars.<\/p>\n

“Kia” ascended to the sixth spot in the list of top-selling brands in the car market during the first half of the year, capturing a 4.5% market share with sales of about 1.1 thousand cars.<\/p>\n

“Mitsubishi” slipped to the seventh spot with sales of 1.1 thousand cars and a market share of 4.4%. The “MG” brand held the eighth spot with approximately 1.1 thousand cars sold, securing a 4.3% market share.<\/p>\n

“Hyundai” secured the ninth spot, selling 1,000 cars and earning a 3.7% market share. Rounding off the top ten was “Opel”, selling a total of 741 cars, with a 2.8% market share.<\/p>\n

“Citroen” ranked eleventh with 660 cars sold and a 2.5% market share, followed by “Subaru” in twelfth place, managing to sell 637 cars and securing a 2.4% market share.<\/p>\n

The remaining car models recorded sales of 1.8 thousand cars in the first half of the year, marking a 7.1% market share.<\/p>\n

According to a report by the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC), private car sales declined to approximately 26.8 thousand cars in the first half of 2023, down 71% from around 92.6 thousand cars during the same period the previous year.<\/p>\n

The overall car market also witnessed a drop in sales by 69.88% during the first half of the year, with approximately 36.8 thousand cars sold, compared to 122.3 thousand cars during the same period the previous year.<\/p>\n

Bus sales decreased to 3.9 thousand, down 56% from 9 thousand buses in 2022. Truck sales also experienced a decline, recording sales of about 5.9 thousand trucks, down 71% from 20.6 thousand units in the comparable period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
