Local truck sales have declined during the first five months of this year, with 4,000 trucks sold, down from 14.5 thousand in the same period last year, representing a drop of 71.8%.<\/p>\n
Imported truck sales have also seen a significant decrease during the same period, with 1.2 thousand trucks sold, compared to 2 thousand trucks during the corresponding period, marking a decrease of 41.2%.<\/p>\n
As per the monthly report of the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC), Toyota has secured the second spot with a market share of approximately 11% and 98 trucks sold. Suzuki fell to third place with a market share of about 6% and 58 trucks sold.<\/p>\n
The Fiat brand ranked fourth with a market share of 6% and 54 trucks sold, while Mercedes occupied the fifth position with a market share of approximately 3% and 24 trucks sold.<\/p>\n GMC followed in the sixth position with a market share of 2%, having sold 21 trucks, while Hyundai came in seventh after selling 12 units.<\/p>\n The eighth position on the list of best-selling truck brands in Egypt during the first five months of the year was held by Volvo, with sales of 4 trucks.
