Total Energizer Awards 400,000 Pounds to Winners of the 2024 Entrepreneurship Competition
Total Energizer Marketing Egypt held a conference to announce the three local winners from Egypt in the fourth edition of the “Start Upper of the Year Challenge by TotalEnergies.”
The winners were chosen after a rigorous evaluation by both local and international juries, assessing advanced projects from 32 participating countries.
These young entrepreneurs were awarded a substantial financial prize, amounting to 400,000 Egyptian pounds, to aid in the development and expansion of their innovative projects.
In Egypt, 200 applications were submitted, of which 80 were fully completed. Out of these, 15 finalists were selected to present their projects before a panel of local experts.
The competition attracted more than 40,000 applicants from across 32 African nations, with 100 entrepreneurs recognized for their innovative efforts in various fields.
The Three Local Winners of Egypt’s 2024 Entrepreneurship Competition:
- Israa Abdullah – Category: Innov Up (Best Entrepreneur)
Project: Super Abla
A platform designed to teach Arabic to children aged 2 to 8 by incorporating everyday language while connecting lessons to culture, history, and geography. - Mohammed Abu Kalila – Category: Cycle Up (Best Circular Economy Project)
Project: Tilestic
An innovative solution that recycles single-use plastic waste into eco-friendly building materials, such as interlocking tiles, paving tiles, and roof tiles, through an industrial process and specialized chemical compound. - Abdullah Kamel – Category: Power Up (Best Sustainable Energy Project)
Project: Virdi
A provider of portable, high-capacity electric vehicle chargers that offer wide compatibility and advanced safety features, ensuring flexible and reliable charging solutions for electric vehicle owners.
These entrepreneurial projects, recognized for their innovation and potential, reflect the growing commitment to addressing societal challenges through sustainable, creative solutions. Total Energizer’s support through this competition is a key driver in nurturing the next generation of pioneers in Egypt and across Africa.
