The Egyptian Compulsory Insurance Group’s monthly report for October 2024 reveals that over 40,400 vehicles were licensed and insured across Egypt. This report provides detailed statistics on vehicles licensed by model year, with the majority falling within recent models.

Breakdown by Vehicle Model Year

According to the report:

  • 2,704 vehicles from the 2021 model year received insurance documents.
  • 4,220 vehicles from 2022 were insured.
  • 4,469 vehicles from 2023 received insurance.
  • 13,918 vehicles from 2024 obtained coverage.
  • 15,112 vehicles from 2025 were licensed and insured.

Private Cars

Among the licensed vehicles, 13,200 were private cars. This includes:

  • 272 cars from the 2021 model year,
  • 457 cars from 2022,
  • 1,010 cars from 2023,
  • 5,427 cars from 2024, and

Motorcycles

The number of motorcycles licensed and insured reached 24,300, divided by model year as follows:

  • 2,321 motorcycles from 2021,
  • 3,461 from 2022,
  • 3,160 from 2023,
  • 7,694 from 2024, and

Transport Vehicles

In the transport category, a total of 1,593 vehicles were licensed, including:

  • 39 transport vehicles from 2021,
  • 117 from 2022,
  • 138 from 2023,
  • 435 from 2024, and
  • 864 from 2025.

  • Chery – 1,701 vehicles
  • Hyundai – 1,414 vehicles
  • Chevrolet – 1,196 vehicles
  • MG – 1,097 vehicles
  • Nissan – 948 vehicles
  • Mercedes – 946 vehicles
  • Toyota – 787 vehicles
  • Kia – 760 vehicles
  • Mitsubishi – 627 vehicles
  • Nissan (additional models) – 654 vehicles

Private Cars:

  • Chery – 1,701 cars
  • Hyundai – 1,407 cars
