Nissan Dominates Egypt’s Private Car Sales in September
Nissan has clinched the top spot in Egypt’s private car market, commanding a significant 21% market share in September with sales reaching 1,624 vehicles. This performance places Nissan at the forefront of the industry for the month.

The Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC) has disclosed in its latest report that Chery-Ghabbour follows closely behind, securing the second position. The brand achieved a market share of nearly 17%, translating to 1,303 car sales. Hyundai holds the third spot, with a solid 14% market share and a total of 1,084 vehicles sold.

Suzuki elevated to fourth place, boasting sales of 912 cars and capturing approximately 12% of the market. The MG brand was hot on its heels, garnering a market share of around 10% with 765 car sales.
Kia has claimed the sixth position with nearly 7% market share, having sold 570 cars. These figures contribute to the brand’s standing in the list of Egypt’s best-selling private cars in September.

Toyota emerged seventh with a 4% market share and 349 cars sold. In contrast, BYD experienced a dip, landing in eighth place with around 3% market share and 254 cars sold.
Opel was positioned ninth with a similar market share of 3% but with slightly fewer sales at 210 cars. Citroen rounded out the top ten with a 3% market share and sales totaling 200 cars.
Just outside the top ten, Geely Abu Ghaly captured the eleventh rank, also with a 3% market share and 200 cars sold. The remaining brands collectively accounted for approximately 8% of the market, totaling sales of 496 cars.
A highlight from the AMIC report indicates a modest uptick in the private car segment sales. September witnessed a total of 7.8 thousand cars sold, which is an increase of about 15.4% over the 6.8 thousand cars sold during the same period in the previous year.
