“Ford” and “Fiat” both shared a market slice of 1.1%, selling 30 cars each, positioning them in twelfth and thirteenth place respectively.
All other brands combined had a 1.8% market share, totaling 49 cars out of all imported cars sold in Egypt for that month.
The AMIC report also highlighted a significant decline in sales for “private” cars. July saw sales totaling 4.9 thousand, marking a sharp 44.5% drop from the 8.8 thousand cars sold in the same month of the previous year.
Moreover, imported car sales saw a surge of 77.9%, reaching 15.2 thousand cars, in contrast to the 68.9 thousand cars in 2022’s corresponding period.
However, sales of locally assembled cars dipped by 49.1%, with about 16.6 thousand cars sold in the first seven months of the current year. This pales in comparison to the 32.6 thousand sold during the same timeframe in 2022, based on AMIC’s monthly findings.
