MG Cars Announce Price Hike in Egypt for November
Al-Mansour Automotive Company, the local distributor for MG in Egypt, has released a new price list reflecting a significant increase for its range of vehicles. The models affected include the MG 5, RX5 Plus, 6, and ZS, with hikes varying from 40,000 to 70,000 EGP during November.
MG RX5 Plus Models Surge in Price
The company announced an increase of 60,000 to 70,000 EGP for the MG RX5 Plus models. The “Comfort” trim now costs 1.33 million pounds, while the “Luxury” version has reached 1.39 million pounds. The 2023 MG RX5 Plus, an SUV, boasts a 1500 cc turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 171 horsepower and 250 Newton-meters of torque, paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. This model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds and has an average fuel consumption of 6.8 liters per 100 km.
MG 5 Prices Go Up
The MG 5 has also seen a price increment of around 40,000 EGP. The “STANDARD” variant is now priced at approximately 780,000 pounds, the “Comfort” at 820,000 pounds, and the “Luxury” at 860,000 pounds. The 2023 MG 5, a sedan, is powered by a 1500 cc four-cylinder engine delivering 120 horsepower and 150 Newton-meters of torque.
MG ZS Models Get Pricier
Price increases for the MG ZS range from 45,000 to 50,000 EGP. The “Comfort” trim is now listed at 900,000 pounds, with the higher “Luxury” trim at 940,000 pounds. The 2023 MG ZS, an SUV, comes with a 1500 cc four-cylinder engine producing 123 horsepower and 135 Newton-meters of torque, connected to a four-speed automatic gearbox.
MG 6 Models See Price Adjustment
Lastly, the 2023 MG 6 models have been adjusted upwards by about 65,000 EGP. The “Luxury – Red Interior” is now available for 1.06 million pounds, and the “Luxury – Black Interior” at 1.085 million pounds. The MG 6 sedans feature a 1500 cc turbo four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and 250 Newton-meters of torque, coupled with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
