In a surprising turn of events this January, the prices of MG cars, including models 5, RX5 Plus, 6, and ZS, have experienced a significant upswing, amounting to an approximate £60,000 hike.

This shift is documented in the recently released price list by Al-Mansour Automotive Company, the official local representative for the renowned “MG” brand in Egypt.

MG RX5 Plus:

The price adjustment is particularly evident in the MG RX5 Plus models, with a substantial £60,000 increase.

• The “Comfort” category now stands at £1,420 million,
•  while the “LUxury” category reaches £1,480 million.

  

Notably, the 2023 MG RX5 Plus, classified as an SUV, boasts a four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a 1500 cc capacity. It delivers 171 horsepower and a peak torque of 250 Newton/meters, seamlessly connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.8 seconds, the car maintains an average fuel consumption of approximately 6.8 liters per 100 km.

MG 5:

In tandem with this adjustment, MG 5 car prices have also seen an increment of about £60,000

• The “STANDARD” category is now pegged at around £870,000,
• while the “Luxury” category has ascended to £950,000.

  

The 2023 MG 5, classified as a sedan, features a four-cylinder engine with a 1500 cc capacity, generating 120 horsepower and a maximum torque of 150 Newton/meters.

MG ZS:

A parallel trend is observed in MG ZS models, reflecting an approximate £60,000 surge.

•  The “Comfort” category now sits at about £990,000,

•  another variant of “Comfort” at approximately £1,010 million,

•  and “Luxury” records £1.030 million.

  

The 2023 MG ZS models, belonging to the SUV category, are equipped with a four-cylinder engine (1500 cc), producing 123 horsepower and a peak torque of 135 Newton/meters, complemented by a four-speed automatic transmission.

MG 6:

Completing the spectrum, the local representative has adjusted the prices of the 2023 MG 6 models, signaling a £60,000 increase.

•  The “Luxury – Red Interior” category is valued at £1.150 million,
• while the “Luxury – Black Interior” category is set at £1.175 million.

  

These sedan models, featuring a turbocharged four-cylinder engine (1500 cc), deliver 169 horsepower and a peak torque of 250 Newton/meters, seamlessly connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission.
