Geely Models Face a Price Surge in Egypt for 2024
Abu Ghaly Motors, the local dealer for the Geely brand, has announced a significant price hike for its 2024 lineup, including the Coolray, Okavango, and GX3 Pro models, by approximately 20,000 Egyptian pounds.
Geely Okavango 2024
The new pricing positions the 2024 Geely Okavango “Premium” variant at 1.45 million pounds, marking an increase of 20,000 pounds. This seven-seater SUV is powered by a combined force of a 1,500 cc engine and an electric EMS system motor. Together, they deliver 190 horsepower and a torque of 300 Newton-meters. The Okavango boasts a fuel efficiency of 6.6 liters per 100 kilometers and features a seven-speed DCT WET transmission capable of shifting in under 0.2 seconds. Remarkably, it has undergone rigorous testing over 350,000 kilometers, surpassing European standards by 46%.
Geely Coolray 2024
The Coolray’s pricing also sees a 20,000-pound uptick. The “Comfort” base model starts at 970,000 pounds, while the “Premium” and “Black Rim” trims are listed at 1.12 and 1.14 million pounds, respectively. Equipped with a 1,500 cc turbo engine, the Coolray churns out 175 horsepower and 255 Newton-meters of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. The Coolray is designed for optimal performance across various terrains, maintaining fuel efficiency at 6.6 liters per 100 kilometers. It includes a seven-speed Dual Clutch WET gearbox, tested extensively to exceed European expectations by 46%.
Geely GX3 Pro 2024
For the GX3 Pro, Abu Ghaly Motors sets the price at 750,000 pounds for the fully-equipped single variant, up by 20,000 pounds from previous figures. The 2024 model is energized by a 1.5-liter DVVT engine, quick to rev up to 103 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque at 5,500 RPM. This configuration ensures economical fuel usage and satisfactory acceleration for the vehicle’s size. The GX3 Pro also comes with a seven-speed CVT transmission.
Measuring 4.005 meters in length, 1.760 meters in width, and 1.575 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.480 meters, the GX3 Pro is equipped with a roof rack capable of carrying up to 30 kilograms of luggage, making it both spacious and functional for travel needs.
