Chevrolet Captiva Recalled in Egypt Over Fan Fuses Issue
Which Models Are Affected?
Al-Mansour Automotive Group, in conjunction with General Motors, has issued a recall for Chevrolet Captiva models spanning from 2019 to 2023. This announcement came via the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency’s official Facebook page.
The primary reason behind this recall is to replace certain fuses, specified in the technical bulletin, for the vehicle’s cooling and air-conditioning fans. This proactive step ensures the car’s electrical circuit remains intact, particularly during episodes of elevated temperatures.
Owners of the Chevrolet Captiva models mentioned are urged by both Al-Mansour Automotive Group and General Motors to verify if their vehicles are part of this recall. They can do so by reaching out to the designated hotline at 16424, ensuring their vehicle’s chassis number is on the recall list.
For cars confirmed as part of the recall, owners should then book an inspection appointment via the hotline. These checks will be conducted at the nearest certified service center, and importantly, will be free of charge to the car owner.
Consumer Protection Agency’s Advisory:
The Consumer Protection Agency further reminds citizens to report any grievances or discrepancies related to this or other issues. They can do so by calling the agency’s direct hotline at 19588 or by sending their concerns via WhatsApp at 01577779999.
