The “Auto Club” website monitored the prices of the 2022 model cars (owners and taxis) participating in the presidential initiative to replace obsolete cars that were manufactured more than 20 years agowith cars that run on natural gas instead of gasoline. The prices of the cars participating in the initiative witnessed several consecutive increases, and the reason for these increases is due to the global changes in the car market, including “the spread of the Corona virus, the decrease in production capacity in global factories, the electronic chip shortage crisis, and the disruption of supply chains for production components for the Egyptian market.”

And the prices of “BYD F3” cars provided by Al-Amal Company for the manufacture and assembly of cars were set, so that the first category (GLI MT) was manual at 381 thousand pounds and the third category (GLXI AT) was automatic at 431 thousand pounds.
And the prices of the “Chery Arrizo 5” 2022 model year, the second category (CVT) automatic, were recorded at about 500.7 thousand pounds, and the “Chery Tiggo 3” one-class (GL) automatic, at a price of 590.7 thousand pounds.

The Hyundai Accent RB, model 2022 (owner), the first category (GL) automatic, was priced at 484.9 thousand pounds; the second category (SR) automatic was about 494.9 thousand pounds; the third category (DAB ABS) automatic was 509.9 thousand pounds; and the fourth category (DAB) Plus) automatic, 524.9 thousand pounds, and the fifth category (High Line) automatic, 534.9 thousand pounds.

The price of the “Hyundai Elantra HD” is the first category (GL) automatic, 604.9 thousand pounds; the second category (SR) automatic, 614.9 thousand pounds; the third category (DAB ABS) automatic, 629.9 thousand pounds; and the fourth category (High Line) automatic, 639.9 thousand pounds.
On the other hand, the prices of Nissan “Sentra and Sunny” cars provided by “Nissan Egypt” continued to be withheld in the new price list for the current month of July announced on the official website of the replacement initiative.

And the prices of “taxi” cars within the replacement initiative, presented by Al-Amal Company for the manufacture and assembly of cars, so that the “BYD F3” cars provided by the first category (GLI MT) are manual (358 thousand pounds) and the third category (GLXI AT) are automatic (408 thousand pounds).
The prices of “Hyundai” cars provided by the “International Trade, Marketing, and Commercial Agencies” company (Itamco), “Chery” cars from the Egyptian Company for Transportation Manufacturing (Gabbour Misr), and “Sentra and Sunny” cars provided by “Nissan Egypt” continued to be blocked on the list. The new price for the current month of July was announced on the official website of the replacement initiative.
The green stimulus…inside the replacement initiative

It is noteworthy that, since the beginning of the initiative, the Ministry of Finance has allocated 7.1 billion pounds for the green incentive for the first stage, of which 2.1 billion pounds have been allocated for the fiscal year 2021/2022, and the green incentive is spent in the case of private cars at a rate of 10% of the value of the new car, with a maximum of 22 thousand pounds, and in the case of taxis. 20%, up to a maximum of 45,000 pounds, and in the case of microbuses, 25%, up to a maximum of 65,000 pounds.

And the “green incentive” is a means of support for the beneficiaries, which is a sum of money obtained by every owner of a dilapidated car who wishes to replace it with another that runs on dual fuels (natural gas and gasoline) by deducting it from the value of the new car.

Within the framework of the updates on the initiative’s website, an accounting system has been developed in a way that enables the beneficiary to know the value of the monthly installment and the amounts to be paid in general, in order to facilitate citizens in calculating their installments, whether for a period of 7 years or a period of 10 years.
