Mustafa Al-Taweel, Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors, announced that the Infiniti Holding Group is set to make substantial investments amounting to one billion pounds in Egypt. Furthermore, plans are in motion to inaugurate a dedicated showroom for the Chinese brand Zotye, underscoring the commitment to expanding its footprint in Egypt.

Al-Safa Company for Import, Export and Car Trading, a subsidiary of the Infiniti Holding Group, has received official confirmation from Zotye Company, the Chinese automobile manufacturer, designating them as the exclusive agent and distributor responsible for the sale of spare parts and after-sales services within the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Al-Taweel emphasized that this official acquisition of the agency for the Chinese brand “Zotye” took place in mid-September 2023.

Under this arrangement, the company is gearing up to infuse investments of approximately one billion pounds into the market, ensuring a robust presence for the Chinese brand in Egypt.

The official statement from Zotye reiterates that Al-Safa Company is the sole agent for the Chinese Zotye brand in Egypt and is entrusted with all related activities, encompassing import, sales, marketing, after-sales services, manufacturing, and more within the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Al-Taweel disclosed that a strategic plan, set to be unveiled in early 2024, will outline the roadmap for expanding the Chinese “Zotye” brand following its official acquisition.

As part of the agreement, the company will introduce the new Zotye T300 car, exploring the possibility of local assembly at its factory in the near future. This local production is projected to have a capacity of up to 12,000 cars annually, with a significant investment of up to one billion pounds.

Initially, there will be a reliance on local components at a rate of 15%, with plans to increase this percentage to 30% and ultimately 50% in the coming years by manufacturing chassis and other critical components within the local market.

Noureddine Muhammad, Director of Commercial Relations at Al Safa Automotive Company, a subsidiary of the Infiniti Holding Group, shared that the company is gearing up to offer the Zotye T300 in two categories, one featuring manual transmission and the other equipped with an automatic transmission.

Muhammad also revealed initial plans to establish a showroom for the Chinese “Zoty” brand, alongside the utilization of seven authorized distributors in the Egyptian market. Additionally, approved service centers will be set up in several governorates, including Alexandria, Beheira, Tanta, Mahalla El-Kubra, Mansoura, Cairo, Giza, and Assiut.

This introduction of the new Zotye T300 aligns with meeting the local market’s demand for sports utility vehicles (SUVs) that are competitively priced compared to the current offerings in Egypt. The company anticipates a significant increase in sales within the local market.

The Zotye T300 boasts a four-cylinder engine with a 1,500 cc capacity, delivering 150 horsepower and a maximum torque of 210 Nm. It is equipped with a CVT transmission and a front-wheel-drive (FWD) system, achieving an impressive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds.

It is worth noting that Al-Safa Company for Import, Export and Car Trading was established in 2019 and is a proud member of the Infiniti Holding Group’s portfolio in Egypt.
