A recent report from the Egyptian Compulsory Vehicle Insurance Association has revealed that over 40.7 thousand vehicles were insured and licensed in September 2024.

Licensing and Insurance Overview

The total number of vehicles issued with insurance documents included:

  • 2021 Models: 3,030 vehicles
  • 2022 Models: 4,732 vehicles
  • 2023 Models: 5,197 vehicles
  • 2024 Models: 17,564 vehicles
  • 2025 Models: 10,190 vehicles

Private Car Licensing

Out of the total, 14,128 private cars were insured and licensed in September, classified by model year:

  • 2021: 339 cars
  • 2022: 561 cars
  • 2023: 1,394 cars
  • 2024: 7,459 cars
  • 2025: 4,375 cars

Motorcycle Insurance and Licensing

Motorcycles recorded a substantial number of issued insurance documents, totaling 24,008 units, with the following breakdown:

  • 2021 Models: 2,591 motorcycles
  • 2022 Models: 3,891 motorcycles
  • 2023 Models: 3,533 motorcycles
  • 2024 Models: 9,203 motorcycles
  • 2025 Models: 4,790 motorcycles

Transport Vehicles

The report also indicated 1,432 transport vehicles were licensed, segmented as follows:

  • Mercedes: 1,096 vehicles

Passenger Car Segment

In the passenger car segment, Chery took the lead with 1,376 cars, followed by:
