The first four months of 2024 saw a remarkable surge in imported bus sales, with a staggering 91.9% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Specifically, 919 buses were sold during this timeframe, a significant rise from the approximately 479 buses sold in the corresponding period of the previous year.

In contrast, sales of locally assembled buses experienced a notable decline during the same period in 2024, amounting to 973 buses sold.

This marks a sharp decrease from the 2.1 thousand buses sold in the first four months of 2023, representing a decline of 55.2%, as reported by the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC).

Among the brands, “Toyota” emerged as the frontrunner in total bus sales during the first four months of 2024, commanding a substantial market share of 48.4% and selling approximately 916 buses. /imported-bus-sales-surge-analysis-2024

Following closely, the “Chevrolet” brand secured the second position with a market share of about 22.4%, achieving sales of 405 buses./imported-bus-sales-surge-analysis-2024

Despite the surge in imported bus sales, the overall bus market experienced a downturn, with total sales decreasing by approximately 28.7% to 1.8 thousand buses in the first four months of 2024, compared to around 2.6 thousand buses during the same period in the previous year.
