An auction for the sale of 16 lots of cars at the Cairo Airport customs yard on May 14th

Car Customs at Cairo International Airport will hold a public auction session on May 14 to sell 16 lots of cars and motors imported from abroad and stored in the Car Customs yard at Cairo International Airport, in the hall of the Giza Sports Club, Al-Bahr Al-Aazam Street, under Abbas Bridge in Giza.

The cars that the auction session will be held to sell from customs authority concessions and confiscations imported from abroad are cars of various and different brands, models, and types, including types (Mercedes – Dodge – Porsche – BMW – Toyota Corolla – Land Cruiser – Volkswagen – Hyundai – Jeep Cherokee – Hyundai – Audi – Motors)

The auction terms and conditions booklet will be sold for 400 pounds at the headquarters of the General Authority for Government Services, 7 Dr. Mohamed Hamid Fahmy Street, off Tahrir Street, facing Faisal Islamic Bank in Dokki.

Cars can be inspected at the car customs yards at Cairo International Airport near the bus stop at Cairo Airport from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. during official working days until the day of the auction.

The national ID card is presented to ordinary individuals, provided that it is valid, and the tax card is presented as a condition of entering the auction to those subject to it (dealers). During the inspection process, the participant in the auction has the right to accompany other people who have experience in inspecting cars.

The sale is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 182 of 2018 regarding regulating contracts concluded by public bodies and its executive regulations issued by Resolution No. 692 of 2019, and in accordance with the arrangement contained in the specifications booklet. Purchasing the auction booklet is a condition for entering the auction, and each color is sold separately and without commission.

Anyone wishing to participate in the auction must purchase the conditions booklet and pay the auction entry deposit of 10,000 pounds at the car customs treasury at Cairo Airport as temporary insurance at the customs treasury or during the auction. The temporary deposit will not be returned until after the end of the session.

If no lot of cars are awarded to the participant in the auction, the insurance will be refunded.

The insurance is also deducted from the price of the car if the lot is awarded to the participant.

Every buyer who wishes to buy more than one lot must pay an insurance receipt before starting to increase the second lot, and an insurance receipt is issued for each lot separately.

Everyone who wins the auction must pay 30% of the transaction price as soon as the auction is awarded. In the event of non-payment on the same day, the temporary insurance is the right of the administrative authority, and the advance price is paid in cash to the authority’s treasury in cash or by one of the electronic means in accordance with Article 21 of Law 182. The remaining 70 percent of the auction amount will be collected within 15 days from the day following the auction messenger and through the approved banks (Al-Ahly / Egypt / Cairo), not exceeding the amount of five thousand pounds only, as Ministerial Resolution No. 760 of 2018 and Resolution No. 312 were issued. For the year 2019 and Circular No. 47 of 2019, payment of the collection of government dues, financial directorates, and government accounts, an amendment to the provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 299 of 2018 regarding the collection of government, tax, and customs dues through the electronic payment and collection system.
