Exploring the Top-Selling Cars in February

The automotive market in February saw notable trends in both locally assembled and imported cars. Locally assembled car sales experienced a modest uptick of 7.5%, totaling 5.3 thousand units in the initial two months of 2024, compared to approximately 4.9 thousand units during the same period in 2023, as per the latest report by the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC).

On the other hand, imported car sales surged by a remarkable 95.9%, reaching 5.2 thousand units during the same period in 2024, compared to around 2.7 thousand units in 2023.

Leading the charge in locally assembled car sales was Nissan, capturing a substantial 37% market share, with over a thousand cars sold in February.

Following closely, the Chinese Hyundai brand secured the second spot with a 27% market share, selling 748 cars,
