In January, Egypt’s car market experienced a notable 16.6% increase in sales compared to the previous year. The sale of private cars surged by 40.2%, totaling 4.8 thousand units.

Toyota emerged as the top-selling brand, followed by Chery-Ghabbour in second place and Chevrolet in third.

The overall car market, including owners, buses, and trucks, saw sales rise to approximately 6.2 thousand units, up from 5.3 thousand in January 2023.

While private car sales continued to climb for the fifth consecutive month, bus sales dropped to 522 units, a decline of 35.6%, and truck sales decreased to over 943 units, down by 17.3%.

Toyota led the pack with a 15% market share, selling 934 cars.
