Shell Renews Partnership Contract with GB Auto for Next 5 Years
Shell Lubricants Egypt has extended its partnership with GB Auto, a prominent car manufacturer and distributor in Egypt, for another 5 years. This renewal underscores Shell Lubricants Egypt’s dedication to delivering cutting-edge innovations and superior quality and service to Egyptian consumers. With over a century of experience, the company continues to support Egypt’s automotive sector.
Under the renewed agreement, Shell Lubricants Egypt will remain the sole supplier of oils, lubricants, and cooling materials for GB Auto’s diverse range of products, including popular car brands like Hyundai, Chery, Changan, Haval, and Mazda, as well as Fuso and Volvo Transport trucks. This ensures meeting the varied needs of Egyptian consumers.
Amal Al-Sheikh, Chairperson and Managing Director of Shell Lubricants Egypt, emphasized that renewing the strategic partnership with GB Auto, spanning 18 years, highlights their joint commitment to innovation and customer service excellence.
Al-Sheikh highlighted Shell Lubricants Egypt’s role as a key player in Egypt’s automotive sector, providing high-quality products with the latest technological solutions to sustainably address evolving consumer needs.
Nader Ghabbour, CEO of GB Corp, stated that their partnership with Shell Lubricants Egypt reflects a shared dedication to maintaining top quality standards in the automotive industry. Together, they serve around 240,000 customers annually through 30 service centers in Egypt and aim to expand further.
This renewed collaboration aims to uphold exceptional performance across all brands, ensuring customers receive trusted, top-quality products.
Shell Lubricants has held the top spot globally in lubricants production for 17 consecutive years according to Kline & Company, capturing a 22% market share worldwide.
In Egypt, Shell Lubricants is a leading supplier of oils and lubricants, catering to vital sectors such as automotive, heavy transport, and industry, with Shell Helix lubricants commanding a market share of 37.5%. They include the world’s first carbon-neutral oils.
In March 2023, Shell Middle East selected GB Auto Iraq as the exclusive distributor of automotive oils in central and southern Iraq, strengthening the strategic partnership between these esteemed institutions.
