A group of Toyota car distributors has implemented unauthorized price hikes on the 2024 Toyota Fortuner models, dubbing it the “overprice” with an increase of approximately one million pounds across various categories in the local market.

The 2024 Toyota Fortuner is available in three distinct categories, each offering different equipment and accessories at official prices as outlined below:
- The “Smart” category is priced at around 2.5 million pounds.
- The “Elegance” category has a price tag of 2.8 million pounds.
- The “Sport” category is available at 3 million pounds.

The vehicle comes with two engine options. The first version is equipped with a 2.7-liter engine, delivering 163 horsepower and a peak torque of 245 Newton/meters, coupled with a six-speed transmission. The second version of the Toyota Fortuner model boasts a 4.0-liter engine, generating 234 horsepower and a maximum torque of 376 Newton/meters, paired with a six-speed transmission.
The car is fortified with a comprehensive set of security and safety features, including airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), electronic stability program (ESP), hill climb assist system (HLA), cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, a rear camera, and an immobilizer system to guard against theft.
