  • Opel and Citroen, both holding a 3% market share, managed to sell 206 and 200 cars respectively.
  • The Geely Abu Ghaly brand rounded off the list in the eleventh spot, matching Citroen’s sales and market share figures.

Interestingly, while these brands flourished, the overall market saw a dip. “Private” car sales experienced a 28.4% decline, with sales plummeting to 6.2 thousand units in August, down from 8.6 thousand in the same month the previous year.

In the broader vehicle market, bus sales dipped by 51.7%, translating to 495 units sold in comparison to over a thousand in August 2022. Truck sales witnessed a sharper fall, recording a 64.3% drop with only 1.3 thousand trucks sold, a stark contrast to the 3.6 thousand units sold in the same period the previous year.
