Auto Samir Rayan, a prominent platform in Egypt for buying and selling new and used cars, is set to revolutionize its offerings. Come this October, the platform will launch its second phase, introducing peer-to-peer car sales and online maintenance booking features.
The platform, a pivotal entity of the Auto Samir Rayan group, has been a trusted name for multiple car brands in the Egyptian market. Ahmed Rayan, the Vice Chairman and Executive Director, announced that their recent investment in the digital platform surpassed 20 million pounds. Since its initial launch, the platform has already garnered an impressive 100,000 users across both Android and iPhone platforms.
“The second phase aims to enrich the customer experience,” says Rayan. Customers will soon be able to buy cars directly from fellow users on the platform. Furthermore, in a bid to streamline post-purchase processes, online maintenance bookings have been integrated, thanks to partnerships with major authorized service centers in Egypt.
As part of their ambitious roadmap, Auto Samir Rayan hopes to boost their user count to 300,000 during this phase, marking a 200% increase. This digital leap aligns with the broader national vision of driving digital transformation in Egypt.
“Our platform’s primary objective is to simplify the car trading process,” Rayan elaborates. The platform not only allows users to purchase or reserve cars effortlessly but also enables car pick-ups from the nearest Auto Samir Rayan showroom.
Highlighting the transformative power of digital adoption, Rayan remarks on the significant shift in customer perceptions. Traditional methods of buying and selling cars, like visiting showrooms or specific markets like Nasr City, are becoming obsolete.
Users can now filter through hundreds of car listings on the platform, sorting by various preferences like price, color, and condition.
Auto Samir Rayan currently operates four branches in Egypt, located in Nasr City, Sheikh Zayed, 10th of Ramadan, and Kattameya.
Adding to the discourse, Hisham Al-Safi, the Executive Director of WTC overseeing digital transformation at Auto Samir Rayan, emphasizes their commitment to enhancing user experience. Al-Safi explains that the app provides a comprehensive database of car models, giving users insights into the latest trends.
He concludes, “We envision Auto Samir Rayan as a one-stop digital marketplace for new and used cars in Egypt. Our goal is to provide an exhaustive range of services, just a click away, eliminating the traditional hassles of car shopping.”
