GB Ghabbour Introduces the Locally Assembled Chery Tiggo 8 Starting at EGP 960,000
GB Ghabbour Auto, the official representative for the Chery brand in Egypt, has unveiled the Chery Tiggo 8, locally assembled for the Egyptian market. The model starts at EGP 960,000, reaching a top-tier price of EGP 1.040 million.
The Chery Tiggo 8 is available in two configurations in the Egyptian market: a seven-seater and a five-seater.
The 5-seater version is offered in two equipment levels: the “COMFORT” priced at approximately EGP 960,000, and the “LUXURY” at around EGP 1.020 million. Similarly, the 7-seater version also has the “COMFORT” and “LUXURY” variants, priced at EGP 980,000 and EGP 1.040 million respectively.
The Tiggo 8 SUV features a 1500 cc turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 145 horsepower with a peak torque of 210 Newton/meter. It’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Notably, it boasts an average fuel consumption of 7.4 liters over 100 km.
In terms of dimensions, the Chery Tiggo 8 spans 4,700 meters in length, 1,860 meters in width, and stands 1,746 meters tall. The vehicle also features a rear luggage capacity of 193 liters.
Safety and comfort haven’t been overlooked. The Tiggo 8 comes equipped with features like airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic brake distribution, traction control, a hill balance program, tire pressure monitoring, and an electronic handbrake.
Additional amenities include halogen headlights with adjustable brightness, LED daytime lights, a rearview camera, an engine immobilizer, chrome grilles, roof racks, electric mirrors with indicators, and sporty 18-inch rims.
Interior comforts comprise a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel, air conditioning, rear window heaters, a 7-inch dashboard display, USB ports, adjustable front seats, and more. Noteworthy extras include side air curtains, proximity alerts for the front and rear, a 360-degree camera system, heated front seats, and electrically foldable side mirrors.
Lastly, GB Ghabbour also locally assembles other Chery models for the Egyptian market, including the Arrizo 5, Tiggo 3, and Tiggo 7, which have been part of the domestic production lineup since 2020.
