55.8% Surge in Imported Bus Sales in Q1 2024

Imported bus sales soared by 55.8% in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, with 712 buses sold versus around 457 in the previous year.

According to the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC) report, locally assembled bus sales plummeted in Q1 2024 to 851 buses, down from 1.7 thousand buses in Q1 2023, marking a 51.5% decline.

In Q1 2024, the “Toyota” brand dominated bus sales, capturing 45.6% of the market with 712 buses sold.

“Chevrolet” followed with a 23.1% market share, selling 361 buses.
